Arb 4×4 Accessories origins go back to 1975. It all started when Tony Brown went on a 4×4 trip to top end of Australia.

4WDers relied on homemade or bad fitting 4×4 equipment, not designed for extensive Outback use. Therefore, corrugated roads, extreme temperatures, and the heavy loads was tremendously punishing on vehicles that tackled these kinds of conditions. Many years spent toiling on the Series 1 Land Rover proved extremely beneficial. Damaged bull bars and broken roof racks ensured Tony’s expertise was required. Through this experience an idea was born – high quality, durable 4WD equipment that would meet the vigorous demands of 4×4 owners.

Tony put theory into practise, and began working in the family garage to address some of the product deficiencies he’d encountered on his trip. It was exactly what Australian 4×4 market had been waiting for. ARB are the initials of Anthony Ronald Brown. Today, ARB is Australia’s largest manufacturer and also distributor of 4×4 accessories. ARB has a vast international presence also. With an office in the USA and an export network around the globe. Therefore, ARB’s philosophy has never wavered: quality, reliability and practicality.
